Wire & Cable

The diameter (gauge) of any given cable is rated to a specific amperage load requirement. We have tables to assist us in gauge to amperage requirement, ultimately you have to know. Mistakes here can be costly. Our stock consists of both solid copper wire and stranded wire; individual conductor or multi-conductor cable.

This refers to the outer jacket of the cable, from a nylon based single strand to multi-conductor used for burial applications. Inspectors require the right armor for the right usage. Typically we have on hand the THHN wire and cable for general purpose use. Environmental specific cable can be obtained by special order only.

Wire for many uses are available ranging from 22 gauge single strand 18 pair cables to 3/0 and above single stranded cable. In lower gauge wire 22 to #6 stranded cables, a variety of jacket colors are available. Typically Black, Red, Blue, White, and Green wire jackets are on hand. If you want multi-color wires, but don’t want a rainbow of color wire left over, we also carry multi-color phasing tape used at the termination point for phase identification and wire use.

Termination, & joining cable can be done in numerous ways. We have the multi-wire lugs up to 3 phases, in different gauges used. Polaris connector termination and feed through termination in various gauges; mountable multi-wire as well as DIN rail mounted termination is also available.

Our ground rod stock is limited to 8', 3/8" diameter copper rod. Bare copper core and multi-stranded bare wire is also available in different gauges.

Since we are unable to provide electrical codes that exist for grounding and termination, it is less costly for you to make sure you know what has to be used first. Let us know the gauge of wire, or support parts like acorns, grounding lugs and split bolts you require.
